These simple ingredients come together to create a smooth, indulgent cup of hot cocoa that feels special but effortless.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened dairy free milk of choice (oat or almond recommended)

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 3 tablespoons dairy free semi sweet plant based chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon organic raw sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint or vanilla extract (optional)

  • Ground cinnamon, for topping (optional)

  • Plant based whipped cream, for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the dairy free milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling.

  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder until fully dissolved and smooth.

  3. Add the chocolate chips, sugar, and extract if using. Whisk continuously for about 1 minute until the chocolate melts, the mixture is smooth, and lightly frothy.

  4. Pour into two mugs and serve immediately.

Notes

Top with dairy free whipped cream and a light dusting of cinnamon or cocoa powder

Add a sprinkle of crushed peppermint candies for a festive twist

Serve with vegan marshmallows or a splash of vanilla or peppermint extract for extra flavor
