Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 package Jada Plant-based Porkless Mix

  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger

  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

  • 4 scallions, diced

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Chinese black vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon chili oil

  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

  • 1 scallion, finely diced

For Assembly and Cooking

  • 1 package pre-made dumpling wrappers, thawed if frozen

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  • Prepare the Jada Porkless Mix according to package directions for crumbles. Pan fry until golden brown.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked porkless mix, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and diced scallions. Mix well and set aside.

Folding the Dumplings

  • Place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper.
  • Dip your finger in water and moisten the outer edge of the wrapper.
  • Fold into a half-moon shape and pleat the edges. Press firmly to seal.

Pan Frying

  • Heat 1 teaspoon vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add dumplings and pan fry until the bottoms are golden brown.
  • Add 2 tablespoons water to the pan and cover to steam for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and allow excess moisture to evaporate.

Dipping Sauce

  • Combine all dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl and stir well. Serve alongside dumplings.

Notes

Serve with chili crisp, extra black vinegar, or fresh herbs for added flavor.

Dumplings can be steamed or boiled instead of pan fried if preferred.

These freeze well before cooking and can be cooked straight from frozen.

Make a double batch and store leftovers for quick meals or snacks.
