Description

A Cozy, Saucy Meatball Moment Made Completely Plant Powered

These tender Beyond Meat meatballs simmer in a rich marinara for a classic, comforting Italian style dish that is perfect for pasta night.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Beyond Beef

  • 1 ½ tbsp bread crumb

  • ¾ tsp chopped garlic

  • 1 tbsp chopped onion

  • 1 tsp chopped basil

  • 2 tsp chopped parsley

  • 2 ½ tbsp plant based parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Pinch black pepper

  • Pinch kosher salt

  • 23 oz Prego Italian Sauce Fresh Mushroom

  • Olive oil (for browning)


Instructions

  1. Add Beyond Beef, bread crumb, parsley, basil, onion, garlic and parmesan cheese to a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.

  2. Roll mixture into golf ball sized portions, about 1 ounce each, and set aside.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.

  4. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.

  5. Remove meatballs from the skillet once a crust forms.

  6. Clean the skillet and place it back on the stovetop over medium heat.

  7. Pour marinara sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.

  8. Add the browned meatballs back to the sauce.

  9. Cover and simmer for up to 1 hour to deepen flavor.

  10. Serve over your favorite pasta and enjoy.

Notes

Pile over spaghetti or rigatoni with extra vegan parmesan.

Tuck into a toasted sub roll with melty vegan mozzarella for a hearty sandwich.

Serve with garlic bread, roasted vegetables or a bright Italian style salad.
