Description

Savory Vegan Ham and Cheese Party Pinwheels

These savory vegan ham and cheese pinwheels are made with flaky crescent dough, creamy plant-based cheese, and tangy mustard for the ultimate party appetizer. Easy to prepare and baked until golden, they are perfect for holiday gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack vegan crescent rolls

  • 4 oz Certified Vegan Oatly Plain Cream Cheese

  • 1 cup Chao Creamy Original Shreds or your favorite vegan shreds

  • 1 pack vegan ham slices

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons diced red onion

  • 1 scallion, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced parsley, for topping

  • Pinch of cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. On a flat surface, unroll the crescent dough and gently pinch the perforated seams together to form one solid rectangle.

  3. Spread the vegan cream cheese evenly over the dough.

  4. Sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, scallions, and black pepper over the surface.

  5. Evenly layer the vegan ham slices, followed by the shredded vegan cheese and diced red onion.

  6. Drizzle Dijon and yellow mustard in a zigzag pattern over the toppings.

  7. Starting from the long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log and press the seam to seal.

  8. Using a serrated knife, slice into 1-inch pinwheels and place them cut-side up on the prepared sheet pan.

  9. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  10. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Pinch the dough seams well to prevent filling from leaking.

Use a serrated knife for clean slices.

These are best served warm but still tasty at room temperature.

Brush lightly with vegan butter after baking for extra richness if desired.
