John Joseph of Cro-Mags will be speaking about how going plant-based in 1981 after years of abusive, foster homes, addiction, incarceration and a host of other issues helped set him on the path he’s on today. He also plans to speak on the environmental impact of a meat and dairy-based diet on the planet. Joseph is the author of four books, clean & sober, 11x Ironman, touring musician, philanthropist and motivational speaker.
And after years of violence on the streets of New York City in the 70s and lock-ups, how the change in my diet was the impetus for all the other changes in my life. Another topic will be the documentary film he created last year working with inmates who served over 20 years in some of the worst prisons in California called, “30 to Life” – Joseph and his crew put them on a plant-based diet and it changed their lives. The film comes out in 2020 and is directed by Kip Anderson who did “Cowspiracy” and “What the Health”.
John Joseph will speak on Friday, January 24th at the Camel at 6:30 p.m. Order tickets now.
