Rich, nostalgic comfort food with unapologetically bold garlic flavor

Garlic bread has a way of unlocking core memories. As a kid, it was the one thing I wanted most when it hit the table, sometimes even more than the main meal. Being able to veganize that memory and make it even more garlicky feels extra special. This recipe leans fully into that love of garlic and does not hold back.

This extra garlic bread is rich, flavorful, and deeply comforting. The garlic butter comes together easily and makes more than you need, which is a very good thing. Use the leftovers for cooking, baking, or spreading on anything that needs a little extra love.

Description

Ultra-Garlicky Vegan Garlic Bread

This ultra-garlicky vegan garlic bread is rich, buttery, and loaded with bold garlic flavor. Made with whipped vegan butter and baked until golden, it’s the perfect nostalgic side dish or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) pack salted Miyoko’s Butter, room temperature

  • 8 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

  • 1 loaf French bread or baguette

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. Add vegan butter, crushed garlic, garlic powder, and parsley to a food processor and blend until fluffy. Alternatively, add everything to a bowl and whip by hand until smooth and creamy.

  3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise.

  4. Generously spread the garlic butter over each half of the bread.

  5. Place bread cut side up on a sheet pan.

  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden and crispy.

  7. Slice and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Make sure the butter is fully softened for easy mixing.

Spread generously for the best garlic flavor.

Broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end if you want extra crisp edges.

Store leftover garlic butter for future cooking.
