A lifelong advocate for animals, Alanna’s career began in animal care, working at an open-admission shelter and a veterinary hospital. She then spent two decades in the photo finishing industry, where she developed a rigorous attention to detail, project management skills, and an aptitude for learning new technology in a transitioning industry.
Driven by a strong personal connection to animals, Alanna became vegan in 1997. This commitment led her to co-found a farmed animal sanctuary, an experience where she developed skills in fundraising, nonprofit governance and management, community building, and strategic problem-solving. With a history of organizing and volunteering for various nonprofits, she is passionate about mission-driven work. Having previously served on the Board of Directors for Vegan Action, she is thrilled to work for an organization whose ethics and vision she deeply believes in.
