Recipe and photo from Young Scent

I woke up today thinking it’d be like any other day, only to find it was 14 degrees. All of a sudden, I feel the chill on my feet and can happily curl up in a sweatshirt. As I was scooting around my kitchen this morning reaching for a cup of coffee, I felt myself craving a big bowl of comforting oatmeal. So, I made myself this delicious, warming passion fruit turmeric oatmeal.

Oh boy, it definitely warmed me up. You get a slight natural tanginess from the passion fruit powder, mixed in with the normally savory tasting turmeric. I think it does a great job of balancing out the turmeric. along with a pinch of cinnamon. This is the perfect breakfast to make when you’re wanting something to wake up you and boost your energy level.

It’s super easy to make, using only 6 ingredients, and is ready in less than 15 minutes!

Here are 3 health benefits of turmeric:

1 / It’s known to be anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral.

Traditionally in Ayurvedic medicine, turmeric is believed to be a time-tested herb. It helps with a wide array of conditions, thanks to the curcumin compound which is a very strong anti-oxidant.

2 / It helps to fight inflammation, which in turn combats many chronic Western illnesses.

The curcumin in turmeric can help ease chronic inflammation. This, in turn, helps prevent and treat conditions such as: IBS, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, and more.

3 / Turmeric can help protect you from environmental pollutants.

Thanks to the anti-inflammatory benefits of curcumin, it’s able to help protect your body against pollutants like smog, cigarette smoke, and industrial chemicals.

I genuinely love these YoungScent superfood powders, because they’re made of just 4 simple ingredients: juice powder, vinegar powder, soluble fiber, and prebiotics. They are 100% organic, non-GMO, vegan, and rich in nutrients like potassium & fiber. The added soluble fiber helps improve your digestion and the fruit vinegar prevents burning of the gut. Which means, you’ll have a happy tummy!
