Juliana is an experienced food safety and quality professional with a diverse range of expertise in regard to creation, implementation, management, and training in corporate and operations based environments. Expertise in creation and compliance of food safety and quality programs in start-up technology and small/medium company cultures for retail, manufacturing, and food service as well as overall risk mitigation to drive critical decision making of executive management.

Varied sector experience: consulting, public, private, non-profit, start-ups, domestic, international, and government (FDA, USDA, DOH).

Education: Cornell University B.S. Food Science, Biotechnology Concentration

Juliana is currently the Food Industry Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Solutions Specialist at NJMEP and is managing the following initiatives: leading corporate training on FSMA implementation of rules and regulations and overview of GFSI schemes across the MEP network nationally, developing food safety online training on foundational elements, and various client projects related to regulatory and customer requirements.

New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. (NJMEP) is a not-for-profit organization that works with NJ’s small to mid-sized businesses to help them become more efficient, productive and profitable.  NJMEP has helped manufacturers realize more than $3.8 billion in value. The National Institute of Standards & Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Partnership (MEP) works with U.S. manufacturers to help them become more profitable and globally competitive. The MEP network is comprised of 51 individual MEP centers, which span across all fifty U.S. states and Puerto Rico. Each MEP center has programs and services geared towards helping small and mid-sized manufacturers improve efficiencies, boost productivity, embrace innovation and spur job creation.

Originally from upstate NY Juliana is an avid plant mother, animal lover, a farm-> table local food movement supporter, and a conscious sustainable decision maker in regards to her lifestyle. She is very excited to be able to support the Vegan Action/ Vegan Awareness Foundation with her regulatory understanding in the food and beverage industry.
