Julie became vegan in 2008 after learning about the ethical issues related to meat, dairy and egg production. She got involved in a local vegan meet-up group and began organizing local events.She currently serves on the planning committee of Richmond VegFest, is board treasurer of Porchlight Animal Sanctuary, and organizes the Vegan Pop Up at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. Julie’s professional background is in accounting, in which she has over 15 years experience in corporate accounting and auditing.
