If I’m just a hundred percent transparent about my journey, giving up dairy was the hardest part. I just felt like I was losing the pastas, or dips and even just pizza; but the thing that made it so much better was when I learned how to manipulate cashews to mimic the taste of dairy.  The best part about this was that it only takes me about five minutes to make this, making this probably the one of the fastest party dips you can make.

Ingredients

1 cup of salsa

2 tablespoons of Nutritional Yeast

½ teaspoon of garlic powder

½ cup of cashews

1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Start by adding in your ingredients except the water
  2. Start your blender on low and then gradually switch to high
  3. Slowly start adding the water, I ask that you add it slowly because you can gauge the consistency that you like for your queso
  4. Taste and add any additional seasoning if desired

And there you go, it as easy as one, two three! Pair with tortilla chips or your favorite vegetable and get ready to enjoy your dip. This is sure to be a hit at any party and the best part is, it’s dairy free! Enjoy!
